another day

Family and Friends.

Layla is still clinging to Shelley non-stop and to make things more challenging Shelley woke up in the middle of the night with the Chinese stomach gift. Somehow she must of gotten some of the water in her system. She earned her mothering stripes today. She could use some extra prayer right now as she is not feeling well and has all the demands of Layla to meet. Layla and I did have some laughs today shaking our heads and rattle at the same time. It is fun to see her smile and laugh. She was even walking around some on her own today. She makes a little progress everyday.

Extra prayers for Shelley today; prayers for health and rest and patience. May be time for Layla to take a long stroll with Daddy. Leah and I were listening to Billy Joel this morning and couldn't help but smile and think of Justin and Shelley. " ... maybe this won't last very long (Shelley's illness) .... now I know the woman you are, you're wonderful so far and you're more than I hoped for (Shelley and Layla)..."(from the Longest Time).
We love you all.

Oh Shelley I am so sorry that you are feeling bad. Justin I love that you're letting Layla take her time to get to know you and love you - and she will know and love you (as long as you keep that pink speedo hidden away). I hope Shelley has a quick recovery.

Justin and Shelley,

With Jeff's own teenaged daughter up visiting this week, I've slacked in my reading of all of the latest news. My heart leaped -- literally! -- when I saw the entry of Layla being given to you. I wept tears of joy. What a very beautiful Christmas indeed.

...and God sent a baby.

I'm praying for you guys and am so excited to meet Layla. Prayers are also reaching God's ears for healing for Shelley.

Jeff and I are so thrilled for all of you and spent about an hour talking to his family about you guys. Your story of the this God-given family is a beautiful story of love and hope and of God's unending faithfulness.

Thank you so much for letting us into your lives and for sharing your journey with us.

We love you and are continuing to pray for all of you! You are a beautiful, beautiful family.

Love,
Joyce and Jeff Kendrick
