Justin & Shelley! Paul just sent me the link to your blog, and I have just read every entry and now I am crying. Thanks for sharing your story, and I cannot wait to hear the updates!
I can't wait till Layla is toddling around the office and I can get down on the floor and play with her! Have an awesome, amazing, life changing trip! Can't wait to read more!
We are the proud parents of a 2 1/2 year old son and are anxious to expand our family. We made the decision to pursue adoption from China in July of 2007. On July 11, 2008 we were matched with a little girl, Gao Si Feng, living in an orphanage in Gaozhou City in the Guangdong province. Gao Si Feng, or Layla as we have named her, was born on August 10, 2007 with a cleft lip and cleft palate. This is the story of our journey to bring Layla home...
I have 4 year degree in interior design and 10 years experience as a designer in the contract furniture industry. My mother taught me to sew when I was a child. As a teenager, I sewed a lot of my own clothes and was even contracted to sew clothes, one prom dress, and home decor items for a number of different people. I have now branched out into quilting and have made several quilts over the past 4 years. What I enjoy most about sewing is selecting the materials and visualizing the end result.
